What is Discover Dance?

The Discover Dance Early Childhood Program is a series of movement classes designed to introduce children to the creative and expressive world of dance! These classes are a great introduction to BritZa and studio dance classes.

What is Discover Dance?
This program offers children the opportunity to develop their natural movement ability in a multi-sensory environment. We offer 12 week sessions in the fall and spring as well as 4 day summer camps. Discover Dance classes are open to dancers walking — age 4, and these classes do not perform in a recital.

What are the benefits of Discover Dance?

Miss Emily says, “Through Discover Dance, students learn so much more than dance concepts. They start to learn and practice skills we as adults may take for granted - jumping, hopping, balancing - which help them develop fine motor skills. They also learn social interaction, they learn how to follow directions, they learn the importance of play and creativity, and they gain confidence.”

What are parents saying about Discover Dance?

“Our girls have really enjoyed the DiscoverDance program. After watching their older sisters dance, they are happy to have their own dance class and make friends. I have enjoyed watching my daughters learn to anticipate the actions that go with the songs. The obstacle course that is used to practice the dance concepts has been a favorite for my daughters. Miss Emily has been a great teacher and my girls have loved getting to know her. The DiscoverDance program has been a great introduction to dance for my young daughters and we highly recommend it.”

—Kaylene Van Heuvelen

“My favorite part about teaching Discover Dance is seeing the growth in confidence the students gain week to week. These tiny dancers can have really big feelings, and sometimes they are very nervous to start. But over time they get so excited to come sing and dance with me and their new friends!”
